What's new in the company

FireSale©TM is a collaborative artwork and
incorporation involving the purchase, disassembly, distribution and reassembly
of a 9MM caliber firearm. The collaborative team of Colin Beatty and Craig
Smith has established a corporate entity in which gun part holders are part
owners / share holders in this corporate entity. The firearm has been
disassembled in to its 33 individual parts, and each part has been placed in a
unique custom fabricated gun case for safe transportation. Each case has been
mailed to one of 33 stakeholders.
If you have received a case containing one part of 33 parts of the
disassembled hand gun, you are a share holder in this enterprise. As a part
owner, you have rights to speak on the blog as a minority share holder. If you
have not already, as part owner, you will be receiving a call on your share, which
is the company’s request for you to surrender your stock, part, and all rights
related, sending the part back to the incorporation. The parts will be
collected in to a single location with the objective of reassembling the
firearm in to functioning condition.
It is the discretion of each share holder to determine if the
corporate objective, gun reassembly, is aligned with their own. And it is a collective response that is
required for all parts to be returned in order to produce the fully functioning
hand gun.
The purpose of this blog is to allow the 33 share holders to
dialog and communicate about the shared objectives and responsibilities in this
process and these 33 members are the only individuals with authorized access to
add comments or content to this blog.

FIRESALE HEATS UP

Parts are in flux, some having been stolen from the Miami Basel Scope art fair this week in a form of true appreciation, and others returned by gun part recipients including more vocal responses from Erik Prince, CEO of Blackwater / Xe contractors who asked that the gun be "reassembled –let’s light ‘em up." A list of the shareholders (redacted of names) is now available:

33 Parts will be mailed to share holders beginning 11-11-11

The 33 parts will be mailed to identified (but un-notified) share holders beginning Friday the 11th. The identified recipients are agents in art, press, academia, and business. If you receive one of the 33 parts, please feel free, as a primary share holder, to add comments, make new posts and / or participate in this blog as you see fit.

A list of the 33 share holders will be compiled under this blog as those holders confirm receipt.
